Hello! My name is Caroline, and I am a middle school student who loves to read, write, and upcycle various objects and clothing garments. I live in Minnesota with my parents and brother. The story behind this blog is that wishing to find a job that involved some sort of writing/journalism, I did some research and discovered that there are no local writing jobs that hire children my age. I found blogging a valid option because it has no age limit, I can write from home and on my own timing, and it is an exciting way to experience all of the amazing things people can make and do.

Other things about myself:

I write in and edit a local neighborhood newsletter.
I am an avid Twins fan. However, my favorite player is Jose Berrios, who currently is a pitcher for the Blue Jays although he spent a significant amount of time with the Twins.
My favorite book is Anne of Green Gables.
Naming this blog the Chatty Hobster was my mom’s idea, a hobster being a person who is passionate about their hobby, and the word chatty referencing the hobster in question’s willingness to talk about what they do. She gets full credit for coming up with this name on the spot.
For some reason, I have always wanted to climb onto the roof of my house.
